Resumo:
The diabetes mellitus is a chronic degenerative disease considered the most healthy problem that consists in a metabolic dysfunction characterized by the missing or the decrease of the production of insulin, making the people that are infected, do not have the good functions of their metabolism working, causing a hypoglycemia. The diabetes mellitus type 2 occurs with more frequency due the factors of obesity is connected with problems in the excretion of the pancreatic beta cell. Among the drugs, the treatment of the diabetes type 2, the metformina is the most commonly drug used, because of the efficiency and small collateral damages in comparison with the others drugs. Given the above the Sistema único de Saúde tries to decrease the damages caused by this disease offering accompaniment programs, as well as the availability of free drugs, helping to control the symptoms and risks associated with this disease. The objective of this work is evaluate the quality physicochemical of the pills of metformina given on the Sistema Único de Saúde (Bacis municipal drugstores and private drugstores indexed on the program “Aqui tem farmácia popular”) in cities of the Curimataú Paraibano (Barra de Santa Rosa, Cuité, Damião, Nova Floresta e Sossego) through tests that are indicated in Farmacopeia Brasileira 5º edição. After the realization of this work, was possible to analyze that the entire tested sample was approved as the specifications of the tests of middle hardness weight, disintegration and dosing. However the realization of the dissolution test was observed that only the simple B was considered disapproved by being outside the specified patterns. Production uniformity was maintained between samples from the same manufacturers and different batches A and E. The simples A, C, D e E was approved in all the tests, and were evaluated as good drugs.
