Resumo:
The research aims to discuss the possible contributions of the didactic approach contributed through the use of a game, mediated by the fable literary genre, to encourage the study and use of Libras (Brazilian Sign Language) for students enrolled in the seventh grade of the Elementary School E.M.E.F. Dr. José Dantas Pinheiro, located in São João do Rio do Peixe town, state of Paraíba. The work has applied nature, and it‟s characterized as field research with qualitative methodological approach. For data collection was used the observations of activities produced during the meetings (arranged in a field journal) and two evaluation questionnaires applied as follows: first one at the beginning of the research (for verification of prior knowledge on inclusive education, Libras, and Bilingualism) and the second one by the end of the interaction, in which the students reported on the contributions of language games for the understanding of the contents in Libras and Portuguese. This research is anchored in Inclusive Education, established in the Law and Guidelines of the Brazilian Educational System nº 9.394/1996 and in the bilingual approach presented in the Decree nº 5.626/2005, among other documents. The proposal aims to present the inclusion of Libras in the regular classes as a tool that can contribute to the citizens‟ formation of the subjects so that they learn to interact with each other in society, besides favoring conditions of access to education, and the understanding of differences with respect and empathy. This research made it possible to verify that the teachers need to seek different ways to encourage the hearing students‟ interest in learning ways of communicating with the deaf students. Thereunto, it can be applied through the use of simple activities, performed with accessible materials and without high costs, which can be integrated into the contents arranged in the curriculum, such as the fable. Thus, education professionals need to encourage socialization and discussing the school‟s role seeking to favor the acquisition of knowledge and the formation of citizens who know how to live with the differences.
