This study aimed to study the pedagogical strategies in Special Education: how to deal with children who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The general objective is to analyze the pedagogical strategies used by the teachers of Early Childhood Education to teach children with ADHD, of a public school in the city of Sousa / PB; and the specific objectives were: To identify the pedagogical activities used for students with ADHD; to verify the pedagogical strategies used by the teachers for the student with ADHD; to find out if these strategies contribute to maintaining these students in the classroom. A descriptive and field qualitative research was carried out to achieve these objectives. In order to do so, a theoretical survey was carried out along with relevant papers. The instrument of data collection was the semi-structured interview. The subjects of the research were: a teacher of Early Childhood Education and a supervisor of a public institution in the city of Sousa-PB. Data analysis was performed through qualitative analysis, considering the pedagogical strategies, knowledge and experiences of the subjects interviewed. Right after the data collection, it was noticed that a differentiated perception of the pedagogical work came to light, in relation to the child with ADHD, respecting the individuality of this infant, trying to innovate the methodology used, thus perceiving the difficulties faced daily when teaching students who need extra support.
