Resumo:
In this dissertation is described the project, the implementation, the assembly of a
prototype, and the obtained experimental results of a System for Intelligent Positioning of a
mechanical arm used to move the pieces on a chessboard. The System is based on techniques
of Artificial Intelligence, using fuzzy logic whose rules and axioms were obtained starting
from the observation (analogy) of the movements of the a player's hands (symmetry) during
the manipulation of the pieces in a chess game. Some details of the construction of the
mechanical arm and the obtained experimental results of the movement of pieces in the
chessboard will be presented.
