Résumé:
The introduction of multimedia resources in digital computers allowed them to handle
multimedia presentations. Agility and flexibility became fundamental requirements in the
process of maintaining those presentations in authoring systems. The word flexibility, in this
text, means assigning to a presentation's components a time interval from which a new
duration will be defined. Based on the aspects issued, this research proposes an optimization
model that gives a multimedia document the capacity of having an elastic time structure. This
structure allows the document's global duration to vary according to a set of constraints,
trying to keep it as close as possible to its initial state. As this initial state is considered
suitable, the model tries to minimize the loss of quality caused by the presentation's change.
The current work also applied a statistic research in order to evaluate the presentations' quality
whose time schedules were solved by the proposed model.
