Resumo:
There are currently a multitude of treatments aimed at healing a wound. These range from synthetic and natural medicines to procedures performed by health professionals, aiming to improve or ameliorate the patient's symptomatology. The medicaments used for this purpose may be presented in distinct dosage forms, wherein each form may be more suitable for one type of wound. The objective of this systematic review was to review the drugs and other pharmacological alternatives available for wound treatment. The research was carried out in electronic databases and portals of search of free and open access, prioritizing materials published in the period from 2008 to 2018, in which 294 were found and 114 study materials were used. The use of these resources by the population to treat wounds is very heterogeneous, as it depends on the type of injury the patient has, its nature, as well as the probability of cure. Thus, in order for the treatment to be effective, it is necessary to choose what fits the clinical profile of the affected patient, in which the present work assists in a greater explanation about the knowledge of wound treatment, since the literature has a great knowledge about such theme, thus offering more specific literary resources.
