Over the years the practices directed to health were changing, the institutionalization of childbirth evidenced the loss of privacy and autonomy of pregnant women, the use of invasive procedures routinely used were repudiated by WHO, since then, Brazil has been investing in public policies. to ensure more humane assistance. The use of more natural therapies, such as Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICS) has been gaining strength in Brazil, thus, this study aims to know and analyze the use and also the knowledge of pregnant women about integrative and complementary practices during pregnancy. METHODOLOGY: This is an exploratory and descriptive study with a qualitative approach. It was performed in five basic health units in the urban area of the city of Cuité and had a sample of 12 pregnant women. Data were collected during two weeks between October and November 2018, the chosen method of data analysis was the Collective Subject Speech (DSC). RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The results are presented in four axes: the socioeconomic profile of pregnant women; the understanding of pregnant women about the Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICS); the use of Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICS) and their experience; the Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICS) best known among pregnant women. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: There needs to be further studies on the possible causes that result in the lack of knowledge that pregnant women presented, being extremely important the training of more health professionals to disseminate more information about the theme and offer therapies to the community.
