Résumé:
To identify the entrepreneurial skills of the academics of a Higher Education Institution. Method: A qualitative study converging to the exploratory-descriptive type, taking as a scenario the bachelor’s degree in nursing of an expanding campus of the Federal University of Campina Grande. The empirical material was collected between September / October 2018, through interviews mediated by a semi structured script, with a sample of 24 students selected for convenience or availability until the information was saturated, followed by transcription and analysis of the fragments of the speeches, made the apprehension of the main themes being grouped in blocks of meaning that originated the empirical categories, later analyzed by the technique of iscourse analysis. Results It was noticed that undergraduates present the media concept of entrepreneurship, even while attending disciplines focused on administration and management in health and nursing services. They limit their options only to corporate entrepreneurship to the detriment of the social, not demonstrating desire to undertake what can be explained by the social, economic and political conjuncture. Conclusion: We can conclude that academics bring in the discourses traits of abilities such as need for achievement, creativity, impulse, autonomy, courage to take calculated / moderate risks, nevertheless still expresses them in a timid way including quoting third person strategies which leads us to believe that they do not see themselves as potential entrepreneurs even though nursing is a rising area with different possibilities.
