Abstract:
This paper has as object of study the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Campina Teacher Training Centre with the objective of analyzing the course of CFP Pedagogy: training skills and current skills; discuss the Faculty of Education Teacher Training Center; investigate the skills and teacher skills in the face of new demands and social demands and reflect the teacher's performance spaces face the new challenges of contemporary society. At the present time it is required more and more professionals with training, skills and abilities to act in different school and non-school spaces. The theoretical study was drawn from the contributions of authors such as Tardif and Lessard (2009); Franco (2008); Pepper and Ghedin (2008); Libâneo (2004); Ferreira (2003); Perrenoud and Thurler (2002); Rivers (2001); Cambi (1999); Brzezinski (1996); Walnut (1989); among others. Then, a field study with ten (10) Faculty of Education graduates was held in the teaching profession in the city of Cajazeiras and the state of Paraiba region. In order to understand through his lines the training process, skills and teacher's skills today. Data collection was carried out from a semi-structured interview, with six questions, the analysis was performed on a qualitative approach. The results showed that some of the interviewed teachers have no clarity about the competencies and skills inherent to the teacher, many still perceive the course as a set of techniques. Thus, the course needs to intensify the formation of critical-reflective teachers with autonomy, able to think and rethink their practices in different educational spaces.
