Résumé:
Changes beyond the physiological ones are experienced by the woman during the pregnancy-puerperal period, which usually leaves them more vulnerable to the psychic suffering, being able to lead to the Postpartum Depression. It is estimated that around 10 to 15% of women in the postpartum period suffer from an episode of Depression. In this sense, this study had as objective to analyze, from publications in scientific journals, Nursing Assistance to Postpartum Depression with an emphasis on the Family Health Strategy. This is an integrative review of the literature, based on the databases of the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and Nursing Database (BDENF) . "Depression", "Postpartum Depression", "Primary Health Care" and "Prenatal Care", "combined in pairs and then together using the Boolean AND operator to search possibilities. As inclusion criteria were delimited the articles available in full in the period of the last five years (2013-2018) in Portuguese vernacular and in the public domain. After selecting the studies, nine (9) articles were selected and included in this integrative review, respecting the inclusion criteria. At the end of the research we noticed that the studies indicate that the woman becomes more vulnerable to the development of the Postpartum Depression due to the great changes of the pregnancy-puerperal period. Family support and the accompaniment of health professionals are fundamental in the protection process, as well as for follow-up and cure. However, there is a lack of care for women affected by Postpartum Depression, especially in basic care and, therefore, the Family Health Strategy. Urge the need for training of nurses in primary health care, so that they can identify the risks for the onset of Postpartum Depression.
