Resumo:
The objective of this study was to identify expenditures with inputs used to treat chronic wounds and to compare costs between conventional and phytotherapeutic treatment of chronic injuries in an outpatient clinic. It was documentary and descriptive with a quantitative approach, developed in an outpatient clinic, designated for the treatment of chronic wounds, in the Municipal Hospital of Cuité in partnership with the Federal University of Campina Grande - CES. It was developed through the analysis of the medical records of the patients attended at the outpatient clinic, between August and October 2018. Data were divided into two categories, inputs and coverage. The results showed the socioeconomic profile of the patients treated, which totaled 10 patients, and a total of 344 visits. The most costly inputs were procedural gloves (R $ 247.08), sterile gloves (R $ 711.17), gauze (R $ 178.60), crepe bandage with 20 cm (R $ 312.44) and solution to 0.9% (R $ 357.86). Regarding the coverage, a total cost of R $ 627.87 for conventional coverage and R $ 103.20 for phytotherapeutic coverages was verified at the end of the visits. The research made it possible to compare costs and prove that the use of phytotherapeutic coverings has a lower cost when compared to conventional coverings.
