Resumen:
Gestation is a physiological phenomenon and, for this reason, its evolution happens, in most cases, without intercurrences. Maternal infections caused by microorganisms that can be transmitted to the fetus can occur during pregnancy, with severe sequelae for the newborn. Among the various infections that can be acquired during the pregnancy-puerperal period, syphilis has the highest rates of transmission. A useful tool for planning the programmatic actions for the prevention and care of this disease is epidemiological surveillance, which allows the control of various health problems at the various levels of competence of the Unified Health System (SUS). This study aimed to build a care line for the pregnant woman diagnosed with Syphilis from the perspective of nurses working in Primary Health Care in the city of Cuité-PB. The research methodology is approached in a descriptive exploratory qualitative approach. The semi-structured interview script was used as a collection tool. The information collected was analyzed through Content Analysis, in the thematic modality of Bardin. A total sample of seven participating nurses was performed. The results indicate that the nurses interviewed are all female; the prevalent age was 23 to 42 years; most of them married; in terms of training time the majority have recently completed and two professionals have had more than 10 years; time of performance in the APS, 3 of the 7 interviewees claimed little time for performance; degree, one presented Stricto Sensu (master's degree) and five Lato Sensu (specializations); training, only one has revealed that they have done something about Syphilis management. Five categories were defined: the Health Care System of the mother / baby binomial; The difficulties / potential of care for pregnant women with positive VDRL; the nursing process as guiding the work; Multiprofessional team and its importance with the pregnant woman with Syphilis; and A path of possibilities for effecting care. It was noticed through the speeches, that some difficulties were pointed out, such as: absence of the partner in the consultations, habitual faults of the pregnant women to perform the rapid test, shortage of the pregnant woman's book and difficulty of access of those who live in rural area for accomplishment of exams. It was also possible to realize that the nurses did not have training in the management of the disease. Based on nurses' statements, the need to create a care line for pregnant women with Syphilis in the municipality became evident, seeking to contribute directly to the improvement of the problems presented here, launching strategies that add new knowledge and practices to the practices of nurses, focusing on the well-being of the mother-baby binomial, given the number of negative obstetric outcomes in recent times. The construction of this line of care comes to satisfy not only the needs of the affected population, but also of their partner, family and community.
