Abstract:
The consumption of industrialized products has been gaining prominence due to the practicality for the individuals who do not have more time to prepare from the product in natura and currently the industries have invested in nutrient poor food ads, so that the choices for healthy products are more difficult, generating an obesogenic environment, mainly compromise children's health. Associated with these factors, it is worth highlighting the effects caused by packaging, which allows children to be influenced consciously and unconsciously, mainly by the presence of marketing and advertising. The objective of this study was to analyze the adequacy of nutritional labeling and the presence of advertising aimed at children in the packaging of juices, nectars and tropical solid preparations commercialized in the supermarkets of Cuité-PB. A descriptive field research was used as methodological strategy. Data collection of juice, nectars and solid preparations was carried out in the gondolas of four small supermarkets located in the city of Cuité-PB. For the analysis, the data arranged in the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 spreadsheets were used. The results indicated that the analyzed variables conformed in their majority and the non-compliance of the additives was repeated in all the samples. In this sense, the study points to an improvement in the supervision of the competent bodies.
