Abstract:
Physical Education offers a wide range of teaching and learning that proposed by the National Curriculum Parameters ( PCN 's) and other guidelines governing education , has in its objective content offering social education of the student . Having as its importance in the school environment provides students when necessary contents for knowledge about the body , fundamental culture assimilation and expansion of school learning . Sports , games , dances, fights , the gymnastics give subsidies capable of making individuals can through their bodily practices , build and acquire new knowledge . The present study aims to identify and analyze the content used by teachers of Physical Education in Elementary School II in the city of Cuité -PB , seeking reasons in light of the National Curriculum Parameters ( PCN 's) . The methodology involved a sample of 09 teachers from 07 different schools , all of the subjects licensed in Physical Education , 02 public school teachers , 03 teachers from private schools and 04 teachers from state schools . According to the results it appears that teachers demonstrated that physical education is rich in content and specific possibilities of movement curricular component , but indicate that there are some limitations to the approach of the contents of physical culture classes , since no had the interest to work all the contents of Physical Education , proposed by PCN's but only some of them as pre - sports and sports games . Thus , the research revealed that physical education in schools includes some content from the games and sports as a priority and with the aim of competition , making the body culture and its contents something rarely used in theoretical and practical classes , which range from objectives proposed by the PCN's of the study area .
