Resumen:
In this paper some future prospects related to education, presented by youth in pre -
university were discussed. The work consisted in raising general data on the group of respondents in question to then investigate what values these young people attribute to
higher education. Students contacted in this survey were active students from Pre -
Vestibular Outreach Program (PVS) that occurred at the Center for Education and Health - CES in Cuité-PB, in 2013. The total participants were seven (07) individuals,
and the sample is distributed as follows: 03 (three) boys and 04 (four) girls. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire with open questions, whose answers were subjected to thematic content analysis. Through the analysis of questionnaires, we can see that for these students, the university is seen primarily as a means of access to the labor market. We were able to observe that all the statements of the participants circulate around arguments that reveal and prove the priority market vision that has served education today, where life expectancy comes down to acquire a degree that is
guaranteed a good job. However, we believe that by educating must go far beyond the dissemination of knowledge instrumental exclusively conducive to getting better jobs or wages, we emphasize the importance of establishing a better dialogue which enlarge and orient the educational process in all its essence and in any social environment .
