Teaching and learning strategies is a theme that be part of the teachers’ day-to-day, but this is not an easy task of planning, proposing and coordinating means that contribute with students learning. In this way, there is a constant search for strategies that facilitate perceptions, points of view and students’ actions. This work aims to investigate and identify the main learning strategies used by 03 (three) Biology teachers of Orlando Venâncio dos Santos High School, in Cuité-PB, that facilitate and/or contribute to learning of contents students of Innovative High Schooll Program – PROEMI and of regular teaching. The activities were developed in the period of July of 2013 to March of 2014, with the use of questionnaires addressed to students and teachers of the referred subject to obtain information about the strategies developed by them. This is a qualitative and quantitative research, descriptive research. In the final of the work, we found that teachers use various strategies, such as lectures, the use of videos, the use of laboratory, slides, questions and answers. However, students participate more effectively of motivational activities that work in a more creative and dynamic way.
