Resumo:
A study was made on the lignocellulosic matrix by chemical characterization and delignification kinetics of orgonossolve fiber of Caroá, a native plant of Northeast Brazil. The detailed chemical composition and the physicochemical study of Caroá fiber are essential, taking into consideration the possible uses and current applications as well as providing options for new studies and products. This work aimed to study the organosolve delignification kinetics and characterize the caroá fiber about its chemical properties and their kinetic behavior. The total extractive content of fiber was 8.31%,
71,75,23% cellulose, 9.17 polyoses and ash content obtained was 0.73%. The residual lignin content of the species analyzed was 14.67%. According to the results, it is observed that Caroá fiber have chemical composition similar to other lignocellulosic fibers. The kinetic behavior of pulping were evaluated by comparative analysis of the
delignification processes as a function of pulping time, the temperature range was 140°C to 190°C. The velocity constants of pulping processes were determined from linear fits. The activation energies for delignification were compared with literature data and related with chemical processes of bond breaking -O-4 e -O-4 in lignine. The
results showed a delignification of approximately 66.7%. The selectivity process was analyzed by the removal of components on a function of pulp yield and with a instantaneous selectivity.
