Resumo:
In this work, we consider the e ective Myers-Pospelov QED with dimension-5 operators
to study some aspects such as issue of superluminal neutrinos recently pointed
out in OPERA experiments and the 2D-4D projection of theory. In the superluminal
dynamics, we assume these operators in the photon and neutrino sectors coupled to
Lorentz-violating backgrounds in a preferred frame de ned by a time-like direction.
We show that such operators can produce a curve with that ts OPERA, MINOS and
supernova SN1987a data. In the process of 4D-2D projection of the Myers-Pospelov
QED we get analogs of these operators. Namely, we obtain a new two- dimensional
theory with corresponding scalar and fermionic 2D Myers-Pospelov Lorentz-violating
dimension-3 operators. New defect structures can also be found from this new projected
out 2D scalar sector. Furthermore, we also show that this 2D scalar sector can be
also induced via quantum correction from fermionic determinate in 2D.
