Soil is a body of unconsolidated material that covers the earth's surface, consisting of varying proportions and types of minerals, gases, water and humus. It is a product of weathering over a matrix rock, whose transformation takes place in a given biome, relief and climate, over time. Soil, however, can be seen from different points of view, for an agronomist, through edaphology, soil is the layer in which plant life can develop. For an engineer, it can be used as a support for constructions. It aims to evaluate the influences of slaughterhouse waste on the soil of the forestry garden in the municipality of Cuité, taking into account the characterization of the soil made by the technique of granulometric analysis, organic matter content, potential and exchangeable acidity and soil pH. The results showed that the waste thrown into the soil causes an increase in acidity. This observation was possible because they were compared with soil pH values in places in the garden free of these wastes. So, from the results obtained in this study, we understand that the waste released by the slaughterhouse on the soil of the forest garden causes a considerable imbalance in this soil, which may in the future compromise the fertility of these lands, as we understand that the accumulation of these wastes will, over time, to reach a greater area of this horto-forest
