Resumo:
The contextualization in the teaching of Chemistry is a proposal to approximate the contexts in which the student is inserted, taking in your consideration their culture, their humanistic and ethical values. This way the teaching of Chemistry doesn't limit classes that emphasize the memorization of facts, laws and theories that are addressed for the vestibular exam and not linked the socio-cultural formation of the student. In that direction, it is done necessary the insertion of pedagogic proposals that contemplate the contextualization and the interdisciplinary in the teaching of this science. The social themes, in that way represent great potentiality to contextualize the chemical knowledge. In that perspective, the general objective of this research was to propose a didactic material to show a contextualized way to work some concepts Chemistry, having as generating theme the teaching and learning of alcoholic fermentation. The first part of the research consisted of applying a questionnaire to know the profile of the Teaching Chemistry in the school where the research was accomplished. The second part consisted of the elaboration of the Didactic Unit of Teaching, in order to promote the significant learning of knowledge having a theme the alcoholic fermentation. It was verified that the work reached to the proposed objectives once a qualitative evaluation showed that the students became more active and interested in studying Chemistry, mainly because of the experimental classes. A quantitative evaluation of the material revealed that 86% of the students reached equal or superior grades compare to the necessary average to the approval.
