Resumen:
The rightsizing of a message service for a client/server model is a complex process
that involves issues such as technology changes, mobilization of people, as well as long
term results. Furthermore, it happens in a parallel way with the daily routine of the
company, with deadlines and budgets to be met. This work proposes a methodology to help
the organizations in the planning and execution of a rightsizing of the message service for
a client/server model deployed over a LAN/WAN. This methodology offers the company a
systematic way for custom requirements assessment with relation to the service and a
guide for the selection of the product, and the definition, implementation and deployment
of the solution.
