Resumo:
Thinking and studying the city in the historical context implies writing a story from the spatiality and temporalities. In this context, a city thought of is Remigio, located in the State of Paraiba interior, and the study draws attention to the emergence of sociability spaces, the club institutions, in the formation and pursuit of the city development. The text has the concern to make possible a look at the process of insertion of these club spaces, to which we highlight 13 de Maio Club, and the Society of Support to the Remigio Student (S.A.E.R. Club). The present dissertation analyzes this place history from the changes that occurred in the urban space, emphasizing the new urban practices, the daily life, the redefinitions of the urban space and the cultural, political and social transformations that occurred in the society, reflecting on the cultural and socio-educational practices in order to verify the level of correlations in the way of life of associates and regulars winth the production and/or reproduction of social representations. In this study elaboration, we use different sources, historiographical, documentary, oral memory reports (Oral History), newspapers, and photographic collections. For the best results of this research, we sought to dialogue with the thematic field in the Cultural History in the studies inherent in cities and we discuss with some theorists their concepts regarding memory, daily life, practices and representations.
