The present study aimed to carry out a survey in the literature on the professional training of nutritionists. It is an integrative review that uses as data base the data on the databases, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), electronic library of the free online library (SciELO) and without Portal Periodicals Coordination of Improvement of Personal Data of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) between the period from 2008 to 2018. Having as a research question The results revealed that the year 2012 had the highest number of information about the same (25%). Regarding the types of studies published predominantly with 40% of published articles. One magazine that published more on the subject of the research was a Nutrition Review with (33.333%). According to the data specifications, evidenced by the National Curriculum Guidelines with a Higher Nutrition Qualification, are a highlight in the training of the nutritionist. When it is addressed to gaps, it is a support group for complementary activities of students, an Overload of Teachers, a Free Information Society (SUS), a Fragility in the Theoretical-practical relation of the disciplines, the Character Biologist of the course, are the undergraduate nutritionist restrictions. The studies suggest that the Pedagogical Projects of the Doctorate Courses are reviewed to facilitate the greater capacity for the students and teachers. There is a lack in relation to a study that clarifies how the needs of nutrition training, as well as its advances and suggestions for improvement.
