Resumo:
This paper presents a theoretical study of the flow of two phases (oil and water) in porous media with irregular geometry (oil reservoir) including the effect of water injection on oil recovery factor. The mathematical model used is the standard Black-oil in the formulation of mass fraction. The governing equations were discretized into generalized coordinates, via the finite volume method in the fully implicit formulation and implemented a computer code in C++ object-oriented. Several results of the distributions of pressure and saturation, oil recovery and water cut obtained by varying: the flow rate of water injection, location of injection wells and producers, porosity and viscosity, are presented and analyzed. It was found that: increasing the flow rate of water injection, one sees an increase in the percentage of water starting to reach the production wells, the location L2 flow of water in producing wells is greater and the recovery is lower when compared with the location L1, the higher the porosity the lower the flow of water that reaches the production wells, with the increase in viscosity is a decrease in oil recovery and an increased flow of water in wells producers.
