Resumo:
Discussions on environmental issues show the need for society to know the environment in
which it operates. In this sense, it is increasingly apparent that human beings to better
understand the environment they inhabit, should initially be ecologically educated. In this
context environmental education is as a process by which to build knowledge, skills, attitudes
and skills aimed at conservation of the environment and its sustainability. The school
contributes to this construction to be perceived as a favorable place to introduce new ideas,
and play a significant role in building and also the changes in attitudes of individuals. With
the comparative analysis focus between environmental perception in students from two class
third the average level of classes of schools, EEEP Leopoldina Gonçalves Quezado and
EEFM Monsenhor Vicente Bezerra, in the city of Aurora-CE, there was a study that showed
the level of knowledge and awareness of students corresponding to the themes of
environmental area. Questionnaires were used to obtain data that will allow for reflection of
this research. From the data collected we can conclude that about the notion of concepts such
as environment and sustainable development, for example, the students of the two institutions
have limited vision, but the environmental problems of the local community the results show
a significant knowledge and visible concern. From the discussions made in this work is
possible to understand that assess the environmental perception of students is of utmost
importance for the development of more specific actions aimed culminating into effective
results. These actions have to stimulate students and society to conserve and preserve the ideal
conditions of environmental quality, and promote the integration of students and their place of
living.
