Industrialization generates an expressive number of eggshells from chickens, which are still considered as waste mainly for agriculture, but this residue can be used for various purposes. Rich in calcium carbonate, the possibilities of reuse of this residue include, feed preparation, calcium supplementation in human food, as a basis for product development in the cosmetic industry, as well as for the development of adsorbents. The present work had the objective of tracing the kinetic profile of drying eggshells of chickens, in order to use it as adsorbent in the pharmaceutical and / or food industry. The egg shells were obtained at the UFCG Campus Residency in Cuité - PB, submitted to a drying study that determined the best parameters, being the temperature (400 ° C) and larger particle size, which were used for the development of the kinetic study, this one realized in quadruplicate. The obtained data were submitted to the mathematical models of Page and Henderson & Pabis, that treated with the help of the software Origin 7.0 adjusted satisfactorily to the study generating graphs that demonstrated the effectiveness of the parameters used in the study.
