Resumo:
This article aimed to analyze the visibility of gender and vision of the students, of the
Biological Sciences course of the UFCG, Campus Cajazeiras. Interviews were conducted with
the students of the course trying to understand their experiences at the university. As a result it
can be stated that the number of women is higher than that of men enrolled, but this did not
prevent them from suffering prejudice and discrimination on the part of the students and
teachers, which directly reflects the insertion of women in university. It is noteworthy that the
strength of women in academia is progressively increasing. They occupy important positions
in all areas. Despite the rise of women in academia, prejudice and discrimination persist.
