Resumen:
The present research is characterized as a qualitative research and was developed through the didactic sequence titled "A Geometric Look for Barra de Santa Rosa, PB". It aims to identify concepts, procedures and geometric representations developed by students from an interdisciplinary work in constructions / locations of Barra de Santa Rosa / PB and to analyze the potentialities of the use of photography as a didactic resource in Mathematics classes. It was developed with students of the 3rd year of high school, for a period of two months. The instruments of data collection were photographs and written records made by students. The research, presented in this text, is organized in four chapters. In the first one we present the theoretical basis, we report a little of the appearance of geometry, its importance and applicability, and also some aspects about the teaching of Geometry based on the National Curricular Parameters (NCP).In the second chapter, we present the methodology in which we develop our work. In the third, the analysis of the activities developed by the students in the didactic sequence. Finally, our final considerations in which we conclude that a work relating the space in which the students live, the new technologies and the art can contribute to the formation of geometric concepts. In view of the results obtained we realized that it is possible to carry out an interdisciplinary work with the students relating geometry and art in the space in which they live.
