Résumé:
The construction of knowledge in the university requires a mutual commitment between the educational institution (administration and faculty) and the student himself, for a quality higher education. However, there are many variables that influence academic success and failure during curricular enrollment, these variables are directly related to dropout in higher education institutions worldwide. In this way, the present work aimed to describe how the graduates of two classes (Nocturnal and Diurnal) 2015.1 of Biological Sciences evaluate the success and difficulties encountered in the course during the first period. The proposal was developed with students of the Licentiate course in Biological Sciences of the CES / UFCG, municipality of Cuité - PB, during classes of zoology of the invertebrates II and Zoology of the Cordados I. A structured questionnaire was used, in order to register the perception Of the students about themselves during the semester. There are numerous difficulties encountered within the classroom so that the student can achieve meaningful learning. Our proposal is justified in the search for these difficulties, trying to understand if they are related to the University, can be explained by socio-cultural factors or by inheriting These deficiencies of their high school. The results of this work show beyond the attributions of these students to their own performance, such as the socio-demographic profile of day and night classes of the course, factors that directly influenced the final result of our research, the students of the night group presented An age group of 19 to 37 years, where 38.46% of the students perform extra University activities, while the daytime group had an age range of 19 to 22 years, where 100% of the students have the University as exclusive occupation. The data obtained in this work can be used both to improve teaching tools and to work that will be developed in the near future, taking into account the unique characteristics of each class, it is suggested that there is an increase in the use of this didactic resource in the school And at the University, aiming to meet the needs of the student and at the same time stimulate teachers to research their pedagogical practices, consequently making this audience come closer and closer to meaningful learning.
