Abstract:
The survey addressed the topic: The role of the teacher in vocational training in
the SINE / IDT in Fortaleza-CE. With the main objective to meet other
professional areas in which the teacher can act as well, to investigate the
relationship between the training received at university and assignments that
the teacher develops in non-school environments. The methodology used for
this study was a literature search. Had as theoretical support the following
authors: Lopes (2011), Libâneo (2010), Ribeiro (2010), Almeida (2006), Freire
(1996). The legal bases were also consulted: LDB, Law 9394/96 and CNE
01/2006). The second stage of literature was to consult the Web sites. It has
also been carried out field research in SINE / IDT in Fortaleza. The study
subjects were three teachers who work qualification sector of the institution. The
data collection instrument was the interview. The research concluded that there
are other professional areas in which the teacher can work, like the SINE / IDT.
This institution work several teachers and each develops specific functions.
Educators develop project planning activities, coordination of work of staff,
selection of materials to be worked in vocational training courses. Search on
this subject was important in that point ways to understand the reality
experienced today by Education students, who mostly have little knowledge of
other professional areas in which the teacher can act.
