Abstract:
Nickel ferrite spinels are ceramic compounds of important application.
in electronic devices, electromagnetic materials and catalysis, in light of this, to elucidate the
structural and microstructural properties of the powders obtained by the normal reaction route of
combustion. The proposal developed by the authors is to calcine at 600ºC, 800ºC and 1000ºC, two
samples by batch and after the end of the firing abruptly remove one of the samples and
characterize both by X-ray diffraction (XRD), right after the refinement of the
samples through the Rietveld method to obtain some microstructural properties. The
X-ray diffraction results will show that the proposed phase has been formed and what will be the
that phase. Subsequently, the refinement study will allow know the quantification of the phases
parameters, lattice size, crystallite size and micro deformation. The present
This research contributes to the scientific development of the student and gives the chance to
learn about the X-ray diffraction analysis technique and its applications in nickel ferrite
