Resumo:
This monographic work was built on the theme: An approach on the methodology
used by teachers for the teaching of mathematics. The investigation was guided by
the following objectives: analyze the methodology used by the teachers of the early
years of elementary school of Municipal public schools of the city of Triunfo-PB;
investigate the methods and methodologies used by teachers of the early years of
elementary school to teach math; identify the concept of teaching mathematics
teachers possess; analyze the planning done by educators and its suitability for
teaching mathematics. The approach was qualitative type. The subjects of the
research were six teachers of the early years of elementary school. The survey data
for the development of the research was done in three schools in the town of Triunfo-
PB, two are located in the countryside, a school is located in the urban area of that
city. For data, collection were used two instruments, namely: questionnaire and
observation. From the parsed data, we find that teachers recognize the importance of
mathematics to everyday life and seek always to innovate their teaching
methodologies already that they understand that this is a crucial process for learning
of students as it is from the methodology that educators can facilitate the process of
teaching in the area of mathematics.
