Biological evolution is an integrating axis of Biology, fundamental for an understanding of the phenomena related to life. However, it is a complex area in which studies point to difficulties in the teaching and learning process. Through a qualitative research, we aimed to: Analyze concepts of teaching of the third year of high school of a public school of the municipality of Monte Horebe, on biological evolution, using a questionnaire containing 10 (ten) discursive questions. As answers were submitted to content analysis allowed to identify that considerable part of / as students / how to misunderstand concepts and theories inherent to the study of evolution, which limits the knowledge and contribution to a construction of distorted and fragmented visions on evolutionary processe.
