Resumo:
The present monograph work aims to conduct a discussion on the geographical area and their
relationships, but also sought to point out the importance of the teaching of geography for the
current social context. The thematic exposed in this research underscores the importance of
studying the space and its relations in the geography lessons, supporting the use of
cartography and maps as an educational tool, playful and methodology used by the teacher
within the classroom. The methodological procedures adopted in this study was based on the
literature, so we had a better understanding of the issue addressed here from the description of
the features presented on the educational phenomena in an empirical analysis. It was part
listed in this proposal explore the map in Geography lessons, as one of several recreational
resources, helpers of learning, it includes a direct relationship of the content taught in the
classroom concerning outer space theme. The purpose addressed in this educational scenario
was constructed by real need based on questioning the teaching of contextualized and
additional content from the reality experienced by students in their daily lives, considering
their skills and previous skills as well as the proceedings of implementing new knowledge .
The development of cartographic study, through the map, allowed the identification of the
characteristics of the space as a suggestion to work out the issues intrinsic to the environment,
and underline the spatial reality that surrounds the pupil. We present a methodology that seeks
to subsidize the teacher facing the problems of coexistence society and nature.
