Resumen:
This paper presents the results obtained after the application of the photography intervention in a 9th grade class at the Julieta de Lima e Costa Elementary School, located in the municipality of Cuité-PB. The purpose was to propose a didactic intervention, aiming at the contextualization of concepts of chemistry and physics taught in the discipline of natural sciences of elementary school. For this, a historical review of the techniques of photography in the face of the technological evolution and of the experimentation using the Pinhole method as an alternative capable of interrelating theory and practice through the construction of photographic cameras using low cost materials and recyclable. For that, a series of meetings were held, where each moment was organized in order to work the history of photography and the scientific branches that compose it, enabling them to associate the existing processes in the method of photography and the contents presented by the discipline of natural Sciences. As a result, it was verified that the intervention stimulated a greater cooperation and participation of the students in the process of knowledge creation and demonstrated how interventions of this type are well accepted by the students, given, the results obtained after intervention. In short, the work allowed to contextualize the teaching of natural sciences and awakened the interest and curiosities of the students.
