Resumo:
Introduction: the nursing diagnosis is the clinical judgment that allows the interpretations of the data collected, the orientation, planning and implementation of the interventions. The DE is considered a difficult stage by the nurses and has the aid of classification trees, which are graphic instruments and allow a clearer, wider and precise view of the different paths that can take the multiple decision alternatives. Objective: to use classification trees for the elaboration of nursing diagnoses from a nursing history for hospitalized individuals with infectious diseases. Methodology: the research was developed based on the validated nursing history in the study of Andrade (2016) to subsidize the elaboration of nursing diagnoses for hospitalized patients with infectious diseases. For the elaboration of the nursing diagnoses, classification trees were constructed demonstrating the clinical reasoning, using CMap Tools software as an illustrative image tool. In addition, for the construction of the diagnoses, the NANDA-I classification system (2015-2017) was used. Results: nursing diagnoses were constructed for the psychobiological needs, such as: oxygenation, hydration, nutrition, elimination, sleep and rest, physical activity, sexuality and reproduction, body care, physical integrity, vascular regulation, regulation Thermal, neurological regulation, sensoperception, physical and environmental safety, and therapeutics and prevention. Conclusion: the study in question reached its objective, which made it possible to guide health professionals to construct a diagnostic rationale for more precise assistance, which contributes to the strengthening of the profession as a science.
