Resumo:
This research aims to investigate the affective reactions in users of Android digital products' graphical interface components, addressing human perspectives seen in affective methods and principles for product communication, both used for product development and evaluation. Components present in mobile applications (apps) were evaluated focusing on identifying the positive user experience and the reasons perceived by the user according to the communication of their attributes. Affective principles in Halo Effects, Emotional Design, Pleasure with Products and Products
Appraisals were explored, and the communicational principles through Product Semantics, guiding respectively the artifacts' evaluation by the users and the components' evaluation by the researcher. Thus, an exploratory approach of qualitative features was presented in this research as follows: (a) exploration of affective and communicational principles; (b) semantic analysis of digital products components by the researcher; (c) evaluation of the users affective reactions and (d)
characterization of the affective dimensions obtained by the responses of the participants from the communication dimension. The results indicate positive reactions caused by components characteristics, presenting greater intensity in
specific attributes and being guided by feelings of benefits at the first contact with the product and remaining during the other stages of the interaction. The perceptions of the users about the components they interact show that characteristics assimilated prior to interaction with the artifact elicit affective reactions throughout the relation with the product. Semantic properties of the product are presented as sensational factors, among them the most common are affordance and feedback, both for visual and use qualities. Physical, psychological, and ideological pleasures are reported by the participants, and most of the focus of evaluation is on the product and the activity it performs.
