Abstract:
Infectious and parasitic diseases shows a public health problem in Brazil, more affecting the school children due to immunological immaturity, poor hygiene habits and not properly receive comprehensive care in early childhood education centers. There is a need to expand scientific knowledge about the importance of health promotion through educational actions aimed at prevention and care aimed at this audience. This study aimed to summarize the scientific knowledge copilado between the years 2000-2015 on the actions taken by nurses in primary health care regarding prevention of infectious and parasitic diseases among children 0-06 years. This is an integrative literature review based on scientific evidence concerning the production of nursing knowledge about the child care on infectious and parasitic diseases. For the identification of studies was used search online articles, referring to the Journals Portal CAPES / MEC. Once the selection of studies, ten items were selected and included to work. Thus, the following aspects of the organization of the studies were considered: identification of the study, the author (s), year of publication, specific objectives, methodological characteristics, results and conclusions. After reading in full were extracted themes about the possibilities and limitations for carrying out health education focused on infectious and parasitic diseases. Some studies show that educational processes are crucial in health services, offering the population a more qualified assistance.
