Os impactos ambientais no açude da comunidade Urupema - São José da Lagoa Tapada-PB.

Abstract

The process of degradation of small reservoirs is closely related to the inadequate management of the environment. To have an understanding of the damages caused to it, it is pertinent to carry out an analysis of the environmental conditions that it is in. The main objective of this research is to highlight the main impacts caused by the residents to the weir Urupema-PB. In order to achieve the objectives, the following methodological procedures was executed: bibliographical consultations, descriptive analyzes, field study, observations of phenomena and images register. The final paper was elaborated at the end of the research. Through this undergraduate thesis the positive environmental impacts were localized and identified (generation of temporary jobs, human and animal supplying, irrigation, animal husbandry, fish farming and recreation) as well as the negative impacts were identified (livestock, agriculture, use of agrotoxics, erosion and siltation) along the weir of the rural community of Sítio Urupema. Therefore, it is concluded that irregular and poorly targeted human practices cause harmful damage in the ecosystem. It will be necessary to minimize the impacts identified for the maintenance of this important water reserve.
