Resumo:
The present work consists of an empirical study involving a geographical look with a
focus on Housing Center II, located in the Irrigated Perimeter of São Gonçalo,
municipality of Sousa - PB, belonging to the National Department of Works against Droughts -
DNOCS. Thus, it presents a temporal space that goes from the beginning when the drought
affected PISG - Irrigated Perimeter of São Gonçalo in the period from 2013 to 2016. The objective
was to analyze the impacts of drought on the irrigated perimeter of São Gonçalo on coconut
and bananas in the Nucleus II, where this catastrophic action was happening slowly and slowly
was changing the natural characteristics, leaving tracks of interference in the soil,
vegetation, relief and animals, and may also cover serious regional problems such as
hunger, lack of water, rural exodus and various calamities, mainly affecting the lives of
settlers and residents of this irrigated area. At first emphasis was given to
