Résumé:
The studies carried out by this research had as proposal of investigation the deficits and
limitations of the inclusive teaching of Chemistry for deaf students and the accomplishment
of their scientific literacy through their natural language, which is known as LIBRAS. The
research is divided in two moments and had as a focus to show how much studies focused on
the teaching process to these students is scarce, aiming to relate the small amount of scientific
works on the subject to the conditions in which these students are immersed in the school
context. For this, a bibliographical review was carried out in the Química Nova na Escola
journal about articles dealing with the Chemistry teaching process to non-listeners, as well as
a set of semi-structured interviews carried out in a school located in the city of Cajazeiras,
state of Paraíba.
