Resumo:
The present work, which has as its thematic guiding axis the environment in the first
segment of primary education and its main objective is to identify how the
approach to environmental issues in the classroom so that later we can
reflect on the pedagogical practices related to this theme. The motivation for this
research arose from personal interests, since I work as Technician in
Environment at the Secretariat of Rural Development and Environment of the municipality of
Cajazeiras - PB, having a special concern with Education issues
School environment, from the perspective of transversality. With a view to achieving the
proposed objectives, the present work presents a historical rescue of the first
environmental education activities in Brazil and worldwide, as well as
analysis of the National Curriculum Parameters (NCP) about their positioning in
dealing with environmental issues. From this understanding was performed a
field research at the Cecília Estolano Municipal Elementary School
Meireles, located in the city of Cajazeiras, in which questionnaires were used, applied
teachers from 1st to 5th grade of this institution, in order to understand what the
methodological approach and the process of teaching environment learning.
Subsequently, a reflective analysis of these practices is performed in relation to the proposals
launched by the NCPs.
