Resumo:
This research provides a description of the main problems that are caused by
from the inadequate management of cistern water, its objective is to analyze how the
supply and use of plate tanks at Sítio Patamuté. Reasons why this
research was based. Brings considerations about Cajazeiras-PB, as location, aspect
socio-environmental, such as climate, relief, soil, vegetation, and
hydrography. Demonstrating how these same elements behave in the community of
Patamuté, as well as all existing forms of water collection and storage.
Continuing to emphasize plate cisterns and their problems, enabling the
understanding about the Articulation in the Brazilian Semiarid (ASA), how the
Development and Mobilization Program for Living with
Semiarid: One Million Rural Cisterns (P1MC), such as selection and registration,
empowerment and orientation of families, actually reaching the cistern. Where did some of them come from?
problems arising as well as the correct forms of use. Thus causing a
understanding about the importance of this program for the beneficiaries. This research
was based on bibliographic surveys, data collected through the interview in the area of
thus concluding that this coexistence with the semiarid is only possible
with the collaboration of the residents of the community who daily long for
a better quality of life.
