Resumo:
The possibilities for care actions that can be developed in the CAPS involve therapeutic and preventive activities. These activities are based on inclusive practices, and should be carried out in conjunction with the user (and not only for the user), acquiring fundamental importance for enabling progressive learning, prioritizing the autonomy of the subject and contrasting with the practices of the model of traditional care. In this direction, the popular extension project "Hands that Harvest and Create: The Garden and Art in CAPS as a Tool for Social Inclusion" has developed therapeutic workshops focusing on art therapy, soil and seed management and on body activities, glimpsing the integration of individuals. Thus, the present study aims to report the experience lived in an interdisciplinary popular extension project involving vegetable garden and art in the CAPS, through the experience report of an extension student of the nursing course. It is a descriptive study of a qualitative nature in the experience reporting modality. This report will be presented here in the form of topics, following as project methodology steps, being: 1) Rescuing Concepts and Building Bridges; 2) The Meeting with Mother Earth; 3) Weaving Wisdom; 4) Product Exhibition. The development of this project allowed the student and the users to construct protagonist positions, through jointly constructed processes, from a perspective of co-participation and co-responsibility aimed at autonomy and improvement in the quality of life.
