This study aimed to identify the aspects that influence the treatment dropout in Brazil, according to the national scientific publications from 2005 to 2015. The study presents itself as an integrative review based on an analysis of published studies concerning the abandonment of tuberculosis treatment. The collection data analysis was carried out between June-July of the year 2016 and for the identification of studies was used search online articles by querying the databases of the electronic library Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), the database PubMed and LILACS. The results of this research identified several factors that led to discontinuation of treatment, which were divided into three types: the individual aspects of which are cited alcoholism, being male and having a history of previous treatment dropout. The socioeconomic factors such as poverty and poor education. And aspects of problems with health services that provide treatment, such as distance between the service and the patient's home. It is of essential importance that health professionals, especially nurses who have a more full contact with the patient, abide by the reality of each patient and to be respected lifestyles, and then the feeling of resilience exist before the two parties, professional and patient, so that treatment is effective.
