Abstract:
Intermunicipal consortia are tools found by managers of municipalities or a certain locality that seek to remedy a problem, which alone can not solve. It is a new practice and has many benefits for the region, since the practice of consortium can be used in various sectors and segments, always with a purpose, to fill a gap left by the state. The present work has as object of study the Intermunicipal Health Consortium of Western Cariri - CISCO, whose main objective is to analyze the quality of the services offered by the institution, especially the ophthalmologic specialty. The realization of this work is justified by the observation of the importance of the institution and the services offered to the region, since the Western Cariri region has a high poverty index, which makes it even more necessary for the institution to work in this region. Methodologically, the work focused on onsite information, documents and interviews carried out at CISCO headquarters in Sumé, from the data collection, evaluations could be carried out on the quality of the services performed. The work brings a wide discussion about the concepts about the proposed theme, aiming to facilitate the understanding of the reality of the aforementioned consortium.
