Resumen:
Introduction: Humanization includes the integration and valorization of individuals included in the process of health production, especially managers, workers and users. Thus, for assistance to take place in a humanized way, it is necessary to obtain the construction of solidarity exchanges between all the individuals involved in the care process. When it comes to humanization in the emergency and emergency sector, it is necessary to seek the essence of users' culture, ethics and customs, to balance work environments through protocols, humanized procedures, professional training, agility And scientificity among others. Objective: To analyze the perception of nursing professionals about humanized care in the emergency and emergency sector. Methods: This is a qualitative study carried out with 15 nursing professionals, assisted at the Felipe Tiago Gomes Regional Hospital, Picuí-PB municipality. The collection took place between June and July of 2017 through a semi- structured interview whose data wereinterpreted content analysis proposed by Minayo. Results: A Central Thematic Unit was identified with respective categories: Nursing professionals' understanding of the emergency and urgency sector on humanization in health care; Factors that facilitate and hinder humanized care in the emergency and emergency sector; The importance of continuing education for the practice of humanization in the emergency sector. Conclusions: It is concluded that the humanization of nursing care in the emergency and emergency sector is a challenge, however, possible and essential in nursing practice, essentially in thisarea.
