Abstract:
Work is perceived as a remote and peculiar occupation, generating job satisfaction or triggering suffering. Common Mental Disorder appears as an illness that may be due to work activity and is characterized as a psychological suffering that can affect the biopsychosocial context of the individual. Thus, the present study has as general objective to investigate the risk of mental illness among the workers of the Centers of Psychosocial Attention of the Fourth Health Management of Paraíba. This is a cross-sectional, observational, quantitative approach research developed at the Psychosocial Care Centers of the Fourth Health Management of Paraíba. The sample had 28 professionals. The instruments used to perform the data collection were the Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20) questionnaire, which is a self-administered instrument with dichotomous scale (yes / no) and a questionnaire to evaluate the socio-demographic variables inherent to Assessment of the prevalence of Common Mental Disorder. The analysis was made from the construction in a database in Microsoft Excel, with the results arranged in 7 graphs and 5 tables. In compliance with Resolution 466/2012, the project was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee. The material was collected after the approval of the CEP / HUAC, and took place in February 2017. The study showed the presence of TMC in CAPS workers with a total prevalence of 7% of the interviewees. Therefore, it was noticed that some of the factors related to TMC were related to demographic data and that the work was associated as a source of satisfaction. Finally, it is pointed out that the proposed objectives were achieved and it is hoped that the presented results can enrich the subject, due to the scarcity of scientific material aimed at the sickness of the CAPS professionals.
