Resumo:
This paper presents a study on the Fishermen's Association of the city of Camalau - Paraiba.
aiming to analyze the relationship between education and work for the emancipation of the
subject APESCA. As for specific goals, intended to verify the contributions through
educational processes associated with the organization of the association and their productive
activities, identify the political and educational aspects present in this association and its
relation to self-management and finally, check the major changes that have occurred in labor
relations with the implementation of literacy courses and training. Methodologically, this
research was descriptive and exploratory approach to qualitative-quantitative analysis of the
data was used for descriptive statistical method. As data collection techniques we adopt the
on-site observation, questionnaire and interview. The subjects were therefore members of
APESCA. The research sought to address the topic Education and Labor Emancipated,
analyzing the relationship between the existing educational processes in APESCA and the
process of emancipation of the subjects involved in this collective activity. The analysis
glimpsed indicators of processes of knowledge construction through education models and
analyzed the benefits brought to the association, the characterization of its components as
actors participating and/or participating in the administrative and political participation and its
relationship with the emancipatory process. As a result, although detected incipient
participation of members in the activities of administrative and elective nature of the
association, the same low education and misunderstanding by most as the process in which
they are inserted, various activities have been and are being developed in relation to literacy,
training and qualification of its members. We conclude that all should be valued education
models and are inherently contextualized with the present reality, providing members become
entrepreneurs and not employees limitedly. Beyond that, not only worked - specific technical
knowledge, but also needed to understand the whole process of administrative and
generational association
