Résumé:
The present study aims to present a look at environmental education, more precisely in the first years of elementary school and its importance in the construction of environmental awareness of children. It arises from the author's concern to observe how it is happening in school spaces - educational space that builds knowledge and development. Thus, the starting question of the study about what are the strategies of teaching and learning about the environment applied in primary schools in schools in the city of Ipaumirim, Ceará? The objective of the study is to understand the teaching and learning process in the implementation of Environmental Education from the perspective of the teacher, as well as to identify the understandings about environmental education in the current literature. Mapping the EA strategies in elementary school, that is, the actions and strategies so that this education really happens in an integrating way, as well as discussing the relationship between difficulties for the good teaching of EE and its best strategies. We have as a presupposition education as an essential role in the process of changes facing the problems that affects society in its various aspects. In this sense, environmental education must be present within the school scene, associated with formal and non-formal education and in an interdisciplinary way, in which teachers need to know and organize it, seeking solutions and creating participatory and perceptive actions in the Relationship of nature and man. The method will be based on the proposal of a qualitative approach, that is, from the phenomenological-hermeneutic perspective, with data collection of semi-structured questionnaire and field diary.
